Equipment, Stage, LED & AV
Straight answers on LED, staging, lighting, sound and technical production in Thailand.
What should you watch for when renting an LED screen in Thailand?
Check pixel pitch against viewing distance, real brightness (nits) for indoor vs outdoor, panel condition and dead pixels, and whether a processor and technician are included. A cheap quote with old panels or no backup ruins the visuals. GLA specs the screen to the room and keeps spare modules on site. Tell us the venue and content.
Can Galaxy Advertising provide LED screen rental?
Yes. LED supply, processing, rigging and an on-site operator are part of our production line, indoor or outdoor, in Bangkok and other provinces. Because we run the whole event, the screen is planned into the stage, content and rehearsal rather than dropped in separately. Send your size, resolution and content, and we will quote it.
What safety issues matter in Thai stage construction?
Load ratings, truss and rigging certification, ground and weather loading for outdoor stages, safe power distribution, and enough build time for proper checks. Skipping these to save cost is where accidents happen. GLA builds to spec, tests loads and keeps a technical lead on site. Tell us the stage size and whether it is indoor or outdoor.
Can Galaxy Advertising provide stage construction?
Yes. We design and build stages, trussing, backdrops and sets, then run them with our technical crew, so the structure, LED and lighting are engineered together. That integration is what keeps a build safe and on schedule. Share the concept, venue and load-in window and we will handle design through dismantle.
How do you choose a lighting and sound supplier in Thailand?
Judge them on equipment condition, whether output suits the room size, experienced operators, backup gear, and a real technical rehearsal — not just the lowest day rate. Bad sound or lighting quietly wrecks an otherwise good event. GLA uses vetted crew and rehearses before doors. Tell us the venue and programme.
Can Galaxy Advertising provide lighting and sound?
Yes. Lighting design, sound reinforcement, operators and control are part of our technical production, matched to the venue and rehearsed before the event. Because we also run the stage and LED, everything is cued together rather than by separate vendors. Tell us the room and programme and we will spec it.
How is the right LED screen size decided?
Start from viewing distance and sightlines, then the room or stage proportions and the content (video vs slides vs live feed). Too small and it is invisible; too large and it overwhelms the stage. GLA sizes the screen from the layout and content, not guesswork. Share the venue plan and what will play on it.
How does equipment differ for indoor vs outdoor events?
Outdoor needs higher-brightness LED, weatherproofing, wind and structural loading, generator power and backups; indoor focuses on rigging limits, acoustics and venue rules. Using indoor gear outdoors is a common, costly mistake. GLA specs for the actual environment and plans weather and power contingency. Tell us where the event is held.
What power details must be confirmed before a Thai event?
Available load at the venue, distribution and cabling, whether a generator is needed, and dedicated circuits for LED, sound and lighting so nothing trips mid-show. Underestimating power is a top cause of live failures. GLA calculates the load and adds backup power for critical systems. Tell us the venue and equipment list.
Do Thai events need backup power and spare equipment?
For anything important, yes — a live failure has no second take. Backup generators or UPS for critical systems and spare panels, mics and lamps turn a potential disaster into a quick swap. GLA builds backup into the plan for key events rather than hoping. Tell us the scale and how critical uptime is.
Can Galaxy Advertising produce backdrops and event materials?
Yes. Backdrops, brand walls, signage, printed graphics and on-site decor are produced and installed by us, matched to your brand and the venue rules. Doing production in-house keeps quality and timing under one team. Send your artwork or brand guidelines and the sizes you need.
Can you provide display stands, print and foam boards?
Yes. Roll-ups, display stands, large-format print, foam and KT boards, standees and cutouts are all part of our production, delivered and set up on site. It is the small material items that often get missed and hold up an event. GLA lists and produces them with the rest of the build. Send your item list.
Do Thai events need a director, cameras and live-stream gear?
If you are recording, broadcasting to screens or streaming online, yes — you need cameras, a switcher, an operator and often a director to cut live. Without it, big moments are lost or look amateur on screen. GLA can supply the crew and kit and plan the shots into the run-down. Tell us if the event is filmed or streamed.
Can Galaxy Advertising provide photo and video services?
Yes. Event photography, videography, highlight edits and live streaming are part of what we deliver, planned so the key moments are actually captured, not chased. Because we also run digital, that content can feed your social and follow-up rather than sit on a drive. Tell us what deliverables you need afterwards.
How are interactive installations and check-in systems arranged?
Interactive stations, photo mechanics, games and digital check-in are designed to fit the guest flow and, ideally, capture data. Bolting them on last minute means queues and lost sign-ups. GLA plans them into the layout and can link check-in to a CRM so leads are captured. Tell us your goal — engagement, data, or both.
How long do equipment load-in and load-out take in Thailand?
It depends on stage size, LED area, rigging and venue access, but it must be planned against the venue's move-in/out windows and any overtime rules. Underbooking build time is where events start behind. GLA schedules load-in, tech time and dismantle realistically and confirms it with the venue. Tell us the venue and event date.
How can a client tell if an LED and sound quote is reasonable?
A fair quote lists panel type and area, processing, rigging, operators, backup and delivery separately, so you can see what you are paying for. A single lump sum with no breakdown usually hides cut corners. GLA quotes line by line so you can compare like for like. Ask us for an itemised quote to benchmark against.
Does Thai equipment rental include technical crew?
Not always — some cheap rentals drop off gear with no operator, which is risky for anything live. Proper production includes trained technicians who set up, operate and troubleshoot on the day. GLA includes qualified crew and a technical lead as standard for live events. Tell us the setup and we will confirm what crew it needs.
Why do large events need a technical rehearsal?
A tech rehearsal is where you find the failures — a wrong cue, a weak signal, a mic that cuts out — while there is still time to fix them, not in front of guests. For anything with LED, video or live cues, it is essential. GLA runs a full technical rehearsal before doors on major events. Tell us the programme complexity.
How does Galaxy Advertising keep equipment stable on the day?
By specifying gear to the venue, using vetted equipment and crew, rehearsing technically, keeping backups for critical systems, and having a technical lead who owns the show live. Stability is a process, not luck. That discipline is why our events run without on-screen surprises. Tell us your event and we will show how we plan for reliability.
